Totalled my Jeep, insurance wrote it off, everyone walked away fine. Moved up from a 2020 Sport 2dr/3.6/Manual to a 2020 Sport S 2dr/3.6/Automatic.

So I'm starting fresh:

Jeep Wrangler JL Totalled my Jeep - starting fresh need tire recommendations (no lift!) Jeep-and-bike-1600
The accident made me think about my approach on this new Jeep...I plan to stick with Mopar for the 2" lift...not sure if any addons are needed for geometry, etc.

I plan to buy 35" AT tires...which would be the best for a mix of GREEN trail riding at Rausch Off Road Park, as well as my daily 6 mile commute (no highways)?

Apologies if this is too vague...also, I want to thank everyone who advised me on the old car lift stuff...my going with Mopar is mostly due to warranty concerns.

Thanks,
Don

If you do happen to consider the 285/75/17 size the newest Toyo Open Country AT3 seems to be a nice option. Has a 50k mileage warranty, the newest rubber compound technology, C-load rating, mountain snow rated, and a nice looking overall tire. Can be had for $240 from a few sources.

And made in the USA!

Don, glad to hear you're ok after your accident :)

If you're sticking with your stock wheels you might consider a 285/75/17, these are 34" tall and a bit over an inch narrower than a standard 35x12.5 tire, here's a pic of @Arterius2 JL on that size. And also at that 34" size the high sport gearing won't be as much an issue vs. 35s.

Wow, thanks for the info, I'll check for that size. Just starting to realize I'll need to order a spacer kit and a rear wheel relocation bracket. Its deja-vu all over again. LOL

On a side note, as @Arterius2 has awesome stickers... I'm putting my new white SUSUSUCIO stickers on the hood tonight. :)

Wow I really like this look...now I'm convinced that 285/70R 17 is what I'm getting. :)

(Corrected typo...not 75 but70)

Haha thanks, I think you can delete that wheel spacer if you want to play with the steering stop, you sacrifice unnoticeable amount of turning radius for a peace of mind.

Read post #7 on first page in that post @blnewt linked

Curious if I can install the 35" tires and add some 1.5" spacers without having issues, at least until the lift comes in and is installed?

too bad you couldn't have swapped out the tires: that way you could save a bit of money on tires & put those funds towards the lift...maybe check with geico & see if they'll allow it? after all, you DID purchase those tires

The old Jeep had 15" rims, the new one has 17" rims.

Looks like you decided on 34x10.5x17 K02s w/ 1.75" spacers, should be a good combo w/ stock wheels.
Look forward to the install pics Don :)

Interesting, the 285/75/`17 K02s are a bit over a 1/2"wider, same diameter, but almost $100 less than the 34x10.5 tire.
