Do yourself a favor and rent a Jeep for a few days. Drive it as you will normally drive, if it suits you, great, if not you’re not out a lot of $$. As for the 392, why? The 2.0 or 3.6 have all the power you will ever need in a Jeep and more than you’ll ever need off road. High horsepower, high center of gravity, short wheelbase with wonky handling...what could possibly go wrong😏

I bought a jeep in November. But it’s my wife’s. We’re actually leaving right now for a 12 day camping trip up the coast to California through Oregon. We’re super excited. I do have to say though, I wish I would have paid someone to assemble everything. True pain in the ass but it’s done now.

A jlu doesn't have a short wheelbase at all... The grand Cherokee (which can be had as a track hawk) has 3+ inches less wheelbase. The center of gravity isn't that high, my old wagoneer was higher. It came with a v8 from the factory. The old cj's could be had with a 304 v8 and had an 83.5" wheelbase. That's 13"+ shorter than a JL and 3' shorter than a JLU. More power than is necessary, but it's not like it's a hellcat or anything. Big slick Hill climbs, dunes, open dessert, deep mud holes, I've been in lots of situations offroad where the extra power would have been great.

Get one of these until your insurance premiums come down:
Jeep Wrangler JL Totaled Mercedes. What’s Next? CE9EC1D5-9A04-48C7-B70B-265C04D1BBFC

And then after a few years, get the 392.
If you remove the training wheels it will void your warranty. Found this out the hard way.

Hoping for unconnect 5 but not holding my breath.
According to the guys at TFL, they like the current Uconnect better than the new one.

The new UConnect is a little confusing to navigate, and you have to dig several layers to find certain functions.

Good to know. But U Connect 4 doesn’t support a 360 camera.
