@ColoradoMike : what brand of roof rack do you have installed?

Hey Elliot - that is the Garvin Adventure Full Rack. I am so far extremely happy with it. I ordered it from Extreme Terrain, and had some frustrations with them, but ended up working directly with Ron Garvin, who is a great guy and took really good care of me. I highly recommend the rack, and Garvin in general. Let me know if you have any questions about it.@ColoradoMike : what brand of roof rack do you have installed?
I had a Garvin rear bumper and tire carrier on my JK and really liked it, especially the latch on the bumper. Very solid. Wish they made it for the JL.Hey Elliot - that is the Garvin Adventure Full Rack. I am so far extremely happy with it. You should send them a note, tell them to make it!I had a Garvin rear bumper and tire carrier on my JK and really liked it, especially the latch on the bumper. Very solid. Wish they made it for the JL.
That just means it's high carbon steel. Rattle can that ish.You should send them a note, tell them to make it!
Only issue I have seen with my Garvin rack is that in areas where there was enough abrasion to scrape the paint off, it started rusting pretty quickly. I sanded and painted it... but I wish the paint didn't scuff off so easily.
Yep; done. That just means it's high carbon steel. Rattle can that ish.
When it's an XR, does it even count as stock? I feel like this this trail would have been pretty chill in an XR.Did this in May with my stock JLUR XR
It was easier than I thought it would be! A few years ago I took my Ram Powerwagon on this trail and it felt noticeably harderWhen it's an XR, does it even count as stock? I feel like this this trail would have been pretty chill in an XR.
Yes, I would imagine so!It was easier than I thought it would be! A few years ago I took my Ram Powerwagon on this trail and it felt noticeably harder
Such a cool video. Can you elaborate on the aftermarket skid plates you installed? Thank you!Hey team - need more Jeep porn or curious about a stock Rubicon on the iconic Top of the World? This was last week; enjoy! (audio recommended) My Rube is stock except for 3 after-market skid plates. In a 4-door, those skids were essential on this trail. Without them, I definitely would have needed 35s and a lift. @Murphydog - I know you were curious. For me, Poison Spider (which I drove the next day, see video link in my sig) was a much more fun, interesting trail. But as for TOW, that view. Damn, that view....
Thanks; glad you enjoyed it. I installed the Asir engine/oil pan skid and transmission skid, and a Rough Country rear diff skid. I have not yet hit the diff skid, but I have put many grooves in the other two.Such a cool video. Can you elaborate on the aftermarket skid plates you installed? Thank you!
