Went to a dealer to check out high velocity in person. Fab color.
They had an extreme recon that n the floor inside in a sport. Wouldn’t let it go out for a drive so I drove the automatic rubicon auto e 3.6.
I gotta say I thought that it wasn’t as quick starting out as my manual rubicon.
I expected it to have more get up and go.
I think the steering was way tighter feeling but could be mine is well broken in after nearly 4 years.

I would like to feel the difference in the recon package. But I would think acceleration would be similar?

I bet it would be similar as the Recon adds 4:56 gearing, but also adds 35’s which appear to be equally in the red on a “tire size/gear ratio chart.”

That’s what I was thinking. The auto is very smooth and seems quieter than the manual. But I tend to rev a bit before shifting so I hear the motor more.

There’s always a fun factor involved with a manual! 😎
