Remaining on the topic of Subarus and Youtube. LiteBrite! Has anyone else gone over to the Bronco6G forum and seend the spectacle that is their video commenting on Bronco steering/tie-rods and off road capability falling somewhere between Jeep and Subaru? https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-jeep-spoiler-bronco-hate-by-litebrite.52050/
I've read the linked thread. While it won't be mistaken for an episode of Buckley's Crossfire, there are several posts that make very salient points, but which also get lost in the noise of the expected ad hominems. This one, on p.1, gets right to the heart of the matter early on.

It's just entertainment, (as they tacitly admit), and it does in fact manage to occasionally be entertaining. The informed viewer won't go in expecting sober analysis, though, nor will he attempt to defend the channel's content as such.

This news is about as important as the question of whether the Kardashians still make Christmas cookies.
My 13 year old grand daughter can out 4-wheel anyone starring on the TFL channel. Who cares what they do or what they think?

Regarding TFL's Subaru blacklisting: My recollection from one of the TFL videos was that they thought they rubbed Subaru wrong in two ways. One, TFL took a Subaru up some rutted dirt road and TFL gave it less than favorable assessment on capability relative to what Subaru's marketing at the time would have suggested the vehicle capable of. Two, TFL pinstriped the press vehicle on one of their obstacle courses. TFL believed that Subaru did not appreciate either of these.

The members of the Bronco forum quickly went into Mob-mode and turned the discussion into personal attacks on Kevin and his Wife. Sometimes comments on this forum verge on cringey but I have never seen anything like what I saw there here. Pure entertainment and how neanderthal many of the folks over there are. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-jeep-spoiler-bronco-hate-by-litebrite.52050/
Yeah, well the real rub there is that they compare Bronco to a Subaru...

For better or worse, Bronco owners start their ownership with a chip on their shoulders for not having bought a real Jeep. Fortunately, the solution is quite simple: ditch that f-ugly bloated Jeep-wannabe and get the real thing... 😫

tommys TFL affordable jeep series was great.
but they have a business. Playing favorites is bad for business. So they review the bronco. And it performs well. Their head to head reviews show what different vehicles can do. It is well produced content. And yes they are gushing fan boys for all brands. You’ll note when they do head to hed comparisons. They always have different drivers pick different vehicles as their favorite. That keeps advertisers happy. No different than the car magazines.
It is quite different actually. Auto magazines maintain the products they review at arms-length. Youtubers like TFL, on the other hand, make their reviews more personal. In this case, TFL has Andre, Nate, Tommy, Kase, buying vehicles for their personal use and using them to produce content.

The separation between professional and personal are much more clearly separated in traditional media. Social media on the other hand intentionally blurs this distinction.

Among the automakers, Ford is constantly blurring the lines between paid advertising and independent third-party reviews. Personally, I don't care for it.

Yowzers. The way she gets whored around in the videos i figured it was only a matter of time she was in OF. I don't know how i feel that Kevin so openly brags about basically selling off his wife in a pornographic setting. Everyone has a price i guess, and if that means horny guys are going to jack off to his wife, he's ok with that as long as the $24.99 keeps coming.

Is “Christmas cookies” code for another released private video? 🤣
