So if Jeep plans to put out 300,000 per year, that’s a little under 1,000 per day. Anyone know what shifts and work schedule are like over there? Do they work weekends, night shifts, etc???
A thousand per day seems like an aweful lot.

I have no idea, that is why I started this thread. Maybe someone with some insight as to how the plant works could shed some light.

Based off the plants Facebook page they run 24/7/365. Most of the posts talk about doing double time, even a few triple time.

Current production is a little more than 800 per day on two shifts on one line. The plant runs 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. [Edit] My data may be off... With 1 line, they may be running 24/7... JK production was required to build 35 per hour on 2 shifts, but there were 2 lines. The JL is only running 1 line right now, but there is confirmation of 800+ per day.

I have read an internet post by a plant worker that they were told that presently they are doing 990 per day. They are ramping up production and are in hopes that they will be doing 1100 per day in the next month or so.

I have no way to verify the info I just posted. Take it for what it is.

When I last worked there, Chrysler plants at full production ran two 10 hour shifts per day six days a week. They employed three work crews each working four of those six days. I don’t know how they might get have done overtime with that. The four hours of non-production were reserved for maintenance, which is required to achieve quality targets over the long haul.

This may have changed since I left, but I haven’t heard anything about that.

@1quick1 Did you ask them? What did they say? I'm curious to know if production happens on the weekends or not.
