I placed my order on February 1st. JLUR 4XE - basically fully loaded with everything I could think of. Was almost going to buy another Rubicon but then realized the 4XE was a thing - poster on the wall of the dealership. I’m a previous Wrangler owner (had a 2015 Willy’s - was amazing) but currently coming from a Tesla Model S, so the 4XE really resonated with having some electrification. Not a purist view, but once you go there, its really had to do anything else... Anyways - here she is. Pretty stoked. Waiting like everyone else on a lift - thinking of just going with the dealer Mopar 2.5”... Not going to wheel the doors off of it, but do want to run 37’s, and have heard reasonable things about the Mopar lift. Would prefer to run the adjustable Teraflex Falcons, just not sure if I can do that through the dealer or not... More to come.

That is super cool. Love the color and would love to hear about your experience with it after driving it for a while. Keep us posted and take plenty of pictures with it. Then share them so we can enjoy your new Jeep with you.

Congrats! I like the look of it

I'm planning on ordering a Rubicon sometime in August. I'll be following to see if you can change my mind to a 4XE

The blue accents look really good on the Sting Gray.

I’m curious how lifting these will affect the efficiency, which is kind of the point of getting one. It seems like tall, heavy wheels and tires plus a taller vehicle profile will reduce the electric range significantly. We shall see soon enough.

I'm more curious about how much 37's will negatively affect electric driving range. While I'm not a huge fan of electric vehicles, I feel they would be great for stay at home moms with charging stations at home.

The 4xe looks fantastic in Sting Gray. I like the "electric bush" that it's plugged into on the two pictures!

Educate an idiot. What’s the point of an electric vehicle with a range of 25 miles? What am I missing?

If I bought one would probably only use the ICE when I went wheeling. Almost all my driving is less than 25 miles roundtrip. That and the $7,500 tax credit makes the truck a great deal. Still deciding whether the extra 800 pounds will significantly effect the off road ability and gas mileage on more than a 100 mile trip. As others have said, if you are going to regularly drive more than a hundred miles without charging, the diesel is what you need.

Having the torque and hp available without taking a beating on gas mileage is also interesting.

I'm looking at a diesel JLUR for the torque, mileage, and towing. The 4xe for torque, hp, electric range and rebate. The 2.0 for light weight and ok fuel economy.

If I owned one, 25 miles would be fine. I suspect that a large percentage of round trips don't exceed 25 miles. If they do, the 2.0T takes over. And...the electric motor assist boosts torque to grin-inducing levels.
