Update on front end noise...

So...apparently I wasn’t looking from the correct angle to check on spring alignment. This was supposed to be a post recall kit. Wondering if it’s not....

Is the other side the same??

Sorry, I did see that you said you had a 1/2" clearance on the other side, correct spring part number for that corner?
Jack up on the frame and see if you can twist the spring into the pocket

You may have to disconnect the sway bar link

Might just be the angle of the picture, but it looks like the spring isn't seated properly in the upper spring bucket.

Good catch. It does appear that way.

The previous Mopar kits for the JL had issues with the springs bending excessively. They came out with a new spring, don't quote me, isolator?? for later 2019 I think. I know some were ordering from other vendors such as rough country for that part as it was doing better than the Mopar new version. Can anyone help me with what the part I'm talking about is called? I know I had decent bend on my Mopar lift springs but nothing like that.

The older Mopar kits Bowing was mainly bowing outward not forward. Forward usually points to something else. However the stock lower spring pads are not great. The kit I installed on my 2018 mopar lift where the RKs. They straightened the springs right up.

And on both sides too
Yeah, so only bowing on drivers side. Passenger appears to be straight up. Pic below.

And for comparison, there is the driver...

Not going to be able to bring it to the shop for a few days, but will keep this thread updated on the outcome. Regardless, this is just a small setback. Can’t wait to get off the pavement...

Another small update to share. Was able to get my fire extinguisher mounted with the stock mount. May order a quick release base like the one from Mountain Off-road... Anyways, here it is...

To get ahead of the question, that’s gorilla tape around the roll bar to prevent scratches. We’ll see - not sure I love the way it looks.

What do you all running the Nitto Ridge Grapplers think of the tire noise? I`m not familiar with them as far as riding in a Jeep with them, on a Raptor yes.
I have run BFG KO2`s and BFG KM3`s and both were on JK/JL and the KM3`s did make some noise on the highway, just wondering how the Nitto`s compare to them
I've got ~37K on mine.

Incredibly quiet while brand new. I am starting to get some road noise, now that my mileage is getting up there a bit.

For a 37" tire, I think these are very quiet - whether new or with the 37K like I've got!

noob question, looking at photos of 37s, I see tires are out of fenders a good 2 inches. Do they spray water everywhere during rain? does mud/water also hit side mirrors or near by cars?
You're going to want to look into tire width and wheel offset. These are the two items that determine how far out from the vehicle the tires sit. The 37" will impact how tall the tire is but not how far out it sits from the side.

Personally, my 37s are very wide tires at 13.5". With my tire and wheel setup, my tires sit ~1" outside my fenders, from memory. Yes, it causes more mud spray and rocks. I combat this with a side step that sticks out far enough to prevent a lot of the stuff that gets kicked up. And also 3M protective film on my door hinges from RedRocket here on the forum.

How about some black velcro straps in place of the gorilla tape? Might give a "cleaner" more professional look, with the added benefits of easier removal (no adhesive left behind) and the padding (if I understand the purpose of the tape correctly) will likely be improved over gorilla tape, too.
