When population density is not accounted for, this is the result of every "study".
Basically, this is just a map of where all the people live.

"What states have the most Jeep Wranglers per capita? For 2007-2021 JK, JKU, JL and JLU the states with the most Wranglers per capita are Oklahoma, followed by Michigan, New Hampshire, Wyoming and New Jersey."

This is what the map should show.

So we are (1) well-off and (2) predominantly male.

We’d have to be to be able to afford these things... and to deal with these fine dealers.... 😫

Husband told me about Oklahoma being #1 in Jeeps per capita and I was surprised. We don't have many Jeep trails here. But the weather is tricky so maybe that contributes. We do see a lot of them on the road which makes me smile. :)

I was surprised by the large number of "young males" who own a JLU. On the JL that group was much smaller compared to others. 65+ JL owners % is considerably higher than on the JLU group.

I guess my generation are a bunch of wimps.

It’s crazy because I and many others used to look at Jeeps as an inexpensive vehicle. My family is shocked to hear I’ll be $85-$90k until my JLUR

$65k vehicle plus tax/fees
$4k extended warranty
$5k wheels and tires
$4k lift + install
$$$ winch/ spare tire mounts/hinges/ lights/ phone mounts/ seatbelts/ air compressor/ tazer/ etc

2 years ago my dad was looking into buying a Jeep (he went with an older 2 door JK) but the market research at the time showed that the most cross-shopped vehicle with a Jeep.... was a boat! (meaning people were trying to decide whether they wanted to buy a Jeep or a boat)

Lends credence to the idea that newer jeep owners tend to be "well off"...

It's easy enough to breach $40K when configuring [just] a JLU Sport.
It's equally easy to hit $50K when adding a few baubles to a JLR.
Option a 392 with just a couple odds & ends, and $90K will be in sight soon enough.

The average age and income level of Wrangler owners should be the least surprising statistic.

I think it's Scottsdale Arizona I pulled into what I thought was a Jeep Jamboree the other day until I saw two Tesla's and Subaru, I realized it was a Walmart parking lot... One of the locals here even wrote a song about his Jeep.

I’ve worked at a few Dealerships (Chevy, and Subaru) and I always tried to figure out why the customers wanted the vehicles they wanted. Later in my career with cars I became a Delivery Specialist who would instruct the new Owners what they could do with their cars. Being I was the oldest guy on the team, most times I would get the more Senior Customers to help out. I could slow my tempo down and get them to understand things that they should. After a few years of this I could write a book on all of this…..New Cars 101 or HOW DO I TURN ALL THIS SH** OFF!

With this in mind, and try and size up Jeep owners whenever I am in a situation where I see one. The woman, roughly my age was getting her JLU Sport serviced and I stepped up and asked her why she had bought a Jeep. She is a realtor and she said she felt safer in a Jeep and she could go anywhere at any time. Money was not an option for her

For me, I am glad that you can buy the Jeep you want, option it up and modify it to your own liking. For me, the more BASIC I can get mine the better. It reminds me of my youth, and my CJ from many years ago. BUT…..it seems like the JEEP has aged very well and I can hear, feel and enjoy this JL over my CJ and JK that I had.

I'm in Queen Creek and there seems to be a jeep on every block. I have yet to find a parking lot that doesn't have a jeep parked in it. Never saw that in Southern California. So many jeeps here that you get "wave fatigue" just driving to the store...

Oklahoman here. Sadly, a large percentage of Jeeps I see are tacky modded JKs. I noticed a huge uptick in these types of “builds” when we got a 4 Wheel Parts in town.

Can't believe TN ranked so low. If I had a dollar for every jeep I see on the daily I could buy a Jeep for every day of the week and still have money left over. This could be due to my proximity to WindRock, I don't know
