35s on a Rubicon will rub if you wheel hard. Some tire shops are more by the book than others. 5 years ago Costco here refused to mount any tires bigger than factory. Next week they're mounting 37 KO2s. The manager told me, "If you tell us they'll fit, we'll mount them".

I just need to make it from Costco to my mechanic for the RK 2.5" lift + spacers + adjustable rear rear uppers as well the drive shaft angle gets compromised with the 2 door.

I have 315 KO2's on JK Pintler wheels (+10 offset). I have Rubicon axles and suspension and aluminum fender liners. And wheels still rub liners. I would say the only way 35s don't rub on stock Rubicon is if you don't wheel.

The wheels Rim width is the issue. The factory Rims width is 7.5" A reputable tire shop has a written guideline to follow, as to what is a correct fit. But there are some shops that don't care about being correct, and yes they will install them.

What size rim fits 35x12 5x17?

From what I have read, it can be done but the 35x12.5x17 tires require an 8.5ā€wheel to prevent a ballooning effect of the tire causing excessive wear in the center of the tire. A 315/70/17 tire is similar to the 35ā€ tire in size and requires an 8ā€ wide wheel to prevent wear.

A shop will mount a 35 on stock wheels as long as they arenā€™t wider then 12.5. They will tell you about the possibilities but they will mount them. Literally just had 37s mounted by discount tires like 3 days ago.

The Discount Tire that I had my wheels and tires mounted on was easy enough to work with. I was trying to order the C rated 315 KO2s online and their system kept kicking it out for the Jeep. It would let me add the E rated 315s and also the 35x12.5s. Just not the C rated since they were a Ford spec tire. So, I lied to it and told them I had an F150 Raptor then called the store where they were being delivered to and told them what I'd done and that in fact I was bringing my Jeep and wheels in to have them mounted. When I got there they switched the order for the tires over to my Jeep for warranty purchases.

It depends on the tire on what their system will say width wise.

My wheels and tires went on (by discount tire) the week before the lift. No rub on road with +19 offset, but I doubt youā€™d have any rubbing even with the stock 44.5.
Hell, tell him itā€™s lifted. The 4xe is 1ā€ higher from the factory.

If you think you want 37s Iā€™d make the jump now so you donā€™t regret it for 50k miles while youā€™re wearing out this set.

Hereā€™s ours stock and with 35x12.50s before and after lift.

Balance wise with 35s, it actually looked much better on stock height, now it begs for at least 37s.

Ha, 37s were probably on within a month of that post. Then I lifted it more a month after that.

315/70R17 but on +25 offset Method 17x8.5. Leveled out the front with the factory 661/662 springs (came with the 657/658 springs).

Thought so, but if I understand right, now it probably begs for 40s :)
Of course, gaps even bigger than the 35s and spacer now.

I ā€˜m getting 35ā€ Mickey Thompson mud tires on my stock 2020 JLRU wheelsā€”at a specialty off road shop, not Discount Tireā€”next week. No lift or anythingā€™s else yet. The man instantly knew what would work.
