Without bead locks what seems an avg. safe low pressure so I don't lose the seal on the whole tire? I know the variables of that are mind numbing, just an educated guess might help me from disaster

12 to 15 should be safe. Anything below that and youre risking it. Depends on the tire.

There are a few variables to consider. The volume of air is what supports the vehicles weight, so a larger tire can get by with lower pressure than a smaller tire. The stock tires on a JL Sport will require more air pressure than a typical set of 37s.

The speed the vehicle is going to be driven at should also be considered.

For the stock 33" tires on my JLUR I generally use these pressures:
For high speed desert (40 to 60 mph) I air down to 25 psi
For moderate speed (20 to 40 mph) I air down to 20 psi
For slow speed, or when I plan on being in low range much of the time I air down to 15 psi
