As I said...You are so wrong, so off base that it is not worth arguing with you. Laughing at you...

Seriously, all you are saying is wrong.

My last post on this nonsense.

Do you guys use the tire pressure monitoring system to set tire pressure , or do you use an old fashion manual tire pressure gauge...reason i'm asking, i'm getting different readings from both, and the manual says "
The TPMS should not be used as a tire pressure gauge
while adjusting your tire pressure."...i get that, but i set it with a manual tire pressure gauge at 38 cold, and the next morning, after using it for a day so the system can set, i check it again with the tire gauge, it reads 38, and on the tpms when i start the truck, it reads 41...not sure whats right ..??...i would like to keep it at 38 cold....
If you want your tires at 38 cold, then set pressure in morning after sitting over night, the tpms is reading 41 the next morning because it’s still reading from last time you drove it. If you want to run 38 psi as your actual pressure then set your pressure at 34-35 in morning. As you drive pressure will build....:)

You ALWAYS set tire pressure cold. ALWAYS. That’s why your sidewall has a max pressure cold. Never set pressures after driving. It’s ok to check pressures with the TPMS but it’s best to use a guage.

Laugh all you want guy knock yourself out

Your telling us that pressure in the tires dont rise after warming up??

Again, to clarify, if you want 37psi as your desired pressure and you set your tires to 37psi while they are cold then that 37 will become 40psi once you start driving.

Meaning your desired psi will rise above what you want.

If you drive around a little and warm the tires(they are now at there peak increase in pressure) and set your desired 37psi then that's what they will always be when you drive.

The only thing they can do in pressure is go down when you park.

It's actually very simple 1st grade stuff my friend.

I check tires cold and warm. Just subtract 3 to 4 PSI when they are warm to try to reach the desired PSI.
I dont give a flying donkey what they say....your thinking ambient temperature

Use your noodle

Your completely misunderstanding what they are telling you!

Test it yourself...tomorrow morning WHILE YOUR TIRES ARE COLD set your desired psi.

Then drive around for about 30mins and check your psi and post here what you get.

There is no your right your wrong in this.

Tire pressure increases once tire gets warm

You need to go back to first grade. This post is pretty high on one of the dumbest I have read on this forum. I really hope you’re joking and having fun with this because I am in awe of this stupidity. You my friend are an idiot.

Side wall has a max tire pressure cold because the pressure will rise after they warm.

I'm seriously surprised with you guys

Are you honestly expecting me to believe such stupidity from you over the actual tire manufacturers? Remind me and everyone else to block you so we don’t have to subject ourselves to any of your terrific advice.

I’m kinda with Northeastbst on this one... I may set my tire pressure when cold but I do so knowing tire pressure will increase as I drive around.

What I’ve done in the past is set it when cold, say to like 30 psi, then drive for a while and upon reaching my destination I’ll check again and if any are 33 psi or above, I’ll lower them to 32 because that was my target pressure all along. When cold I didn’t put them to 32 though because I knew they’d rise above that while driving.
