Ticking Sound - Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon JL 2019

Hope you doing great,

I have this noise on my Wrangler JL. It started today. The ticking sound is mostly only there as I push and leave the accellarator, please have a listen. I have attached some videos.

I have this same sound occasionally. I am curious to know what it may be. I tend to think it is some sort of heat shield rattling? I am not sure. Hopefully someone can chime in.

ya, sounds like some sort of heat shield on the exhaust to me too.

with the vehicle parked and idling, open the hood, place your iphone close to the engine plenum cover and record the sound then post it up for us all to check out.

I think you might get some better results.

I feel like I get this noise regardless of if I think Ive put bad gas in or not

Could it be related to octane level? Should I put 89 in mine and see what happens?
