I am considering my options at this point. Not willing to spend time and effort to only be told by the dealer ( its a jeep thing) or (thats normal). Its not normal for any 2020 vehicle to make a sound so loud you can hear it over the radio. Dealers can't fix it and in my case the service manager actually acted like he didn't hear it. If you don't acknowledge the noise then you don't have to fix it. I took the sales manager for a 5 minute drive and he's the one that set the appointment to bring it in. It will just be a run around for sure. Jeep needs to step up fix this issue before we are
all driving Broncos. I would say Jeep doesn't Care!!!!!!
Like I said... Take it to another dealer and refuse to do business with the one who refuses to do their job.

This. This is why I freaking hate Jeep service. No other car manufacturer would get away with this shit.

For what it's worth, my bet is this is a drive train issue. I had the same thing happen on my old XJ.
They get away with it because they’ve been allowed by their customers to get away with it. Hopefully this will start to change with competition, but the main thing is, people have to start to stand up for themselves and not take no for an answer.

JeepCares did reach out to me. I have a case number now. Not going back to the dealer I purchased the Rubicon. Not sure if they don't care or truly can't fix it. Hope the next dealer makes an attempt to repair it!!!
I still think it's something to do with the front drive shaft spinning in 2wd, when it is not supposed to... I'm not a mechanic but it feels like a front drive shaft.

When it starts around 60mph you can feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel??

Pulsating vibration between 55 to 65
So at 60mph it starts as a rhythmic sound/noise like 1 window is slightly open then you can feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel and at 65mph its so loud in the jeep that you can hear it over the radio. Thrumming sound is a perfect description of the noise. Its like thrum thrum thrum??
My dealer told me thats normal REALLY!!!

I had the steering box TSB performed and the steering is much better especially at highway speeds. The thrumming at about 63+- mph is still present. Has anyone who had the drive shaft replaced been able to get the thrumming to go away??
A few on this forum have had their factory shafts replaced without any luck. I replaced my factory shaft with an aftermarket double cardan shaft and it had no effect on thrumming either. But, thrumming is completely gone when driving in 4hi with the rear driveshaft removed, so it's not the rear shaft but happens when the rear shaft is installed... if that makes sense.

... and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that the JLR and JLUR use the same driveshaft as their non Rubicon counterparts (except maybe the diesel). If the problem was the shaft, it should effect he non-rubis in similar proportion.

Vibration analysis of the thrum shows the vibration is driveshaft speed... but experience/troubleshooting here shows it's not the driveshaft itself... maybe some weird coupling harmonic resonance, idk.

My next troubleshooting step is going to be adjusting rear pinion angle using adjustable lower control arms to bring the pinion angle from the factory 2 degrees positive to 1 degree negative. From my research, pinion angle shouldn't matter with the rzeppa joints but positive pinion angle seems to be a common source of driveline vibration issues in the jeeping and hotrodding world, so I figure what the hell.

Thanks for looking into this and for sharing your knowledge. Please keep us up to date on your findings.

I tywrapped my front drive shaft so it couldn't spin in 2WD and it didn't make any difference.

Still no contact from Jeep? Not surprised seems to be the norm. I guess I will just try another dealer on my own. Thanks Jeep???

Darn! I read through this entire thread hoping by the time I got to the end there’d be a fix announced. 2020 JLUR, 3.6 auto, 2” mopar lift, 35” Goodyear MTRs, Artec full belly skid, LoD stubby front bumper, and maybe more I’ve forgot. I’ve had the same vibration/thrumming since day one. It moved a bit when I changed tire size, but still there. Nobody’s touched on the sway bar. It’s a difference between the sport and the rubicon. I can’t see why it would or could cause this, but it is connected to the steering wheel and I definitely feel it in the wheel. I’d be interested to know if it went away for someone that changed their sway bar. I also don’t believe it to be front driveshaft related, as I’ve knocked a weight off my front and it hasn’t changed anything.
