Throttle Sticking

My 2020 JL Wrangler Unlimited Sport with 6sp transmission has a throttle issue. When approaching a stop sign or stoplight with the clutch depressed, the throttle races to max RPM before then returning to the normal idle rpm. JL has 3300 miles and it has happened about 8 times. No trouble indicator lights are illuminated and the dealer indicates that the computer only stores issues if the Engine trouble light lights. This is random and the dealer can not find an issue. Anyone seen this issue? I am afraid it will damage the engine.

Is the engine actually revving up or is it just indicated RPM? Try getting the dealer to flash the PCM.

In neutral it idles on the high side when just rolling about... 1200 rpm or a bit more . Also jerks a bit when engaged in gear (torque spikes)as if i was touching the throttle and letting go repeatedly . i'm not at all surprised knowing the other issues with the car.
