Just switched to threedom model M key fob and found the buttons are very stiff. The panic button is literally not clickable. Does any one have the same issue and what's your solution for it?

Thanks,
Michael

@wingdog

By design the panic button, for obvious reasons.. is particularly less sensitive to button push pressure in comparison to the other buttons on the Model M. .....

Good chance though ..... that you do not have the circuit board set into the fob shell properly. IF you do not have it in there just right you will see generalized button press issues.

Do check circuit board placement. IF you still have button press issues, send an email to [email protected] and let @Threedom know you are having an issue with your new Model M. Threedom Customer Service is very good.

I bought an AJT before I knew about Threedom. I had to superglue the Panic button because it kept getting pressed in my pocket. I’d love a stiffer Panic button.

I’ve purchased other things from Threedom. Their CS is excellent.

Thanks. Makes sense for the panic button to be firm but I'd like to still be able to use it when necessary. I double checked the placement of the board and it fits snugly in the shell. All the other 3 buttons work and are just stiff to click. Threedom supports said the fobs are unable to reduce the button stiffness and recommend to buy model S/S+ instead.

I dropped my OEM fob into seawater and that's why I replaced it to prevent further corruption to the board. I do like OEM fob but it's super expensive :(.

After having the Threedom M series fob for a while now I would never go back to the factory fob. The size of the factory fob is ridiculous. The panic alarm triggered so easily with the factory fob, I ended up cutting off the silicone nib so it couldn’t be activated.

The Threedom Model S and S+ both use the stock button pad. The button press will be same same as a stock JL/JT fob. Consider trying one of those if you like a soft button push..

I have tried all the Threedom custom design, fob models. The Model M and M+ are my favorites because of the physical size of them and because they have that firm by design, button press you dislike.

While the button push on a Threedom Model M or M+ as it is designed is appreciated by most, we do totally understand that some prefer the softer button press feel of a factory fob.

Mine set the alarm off ever time I put it in my pocket and sat down. I ended up having to make a sleeve around the alarm button that killed it.
