I have been going back and forth between 35s and 37s for a while, like many others.

I really think the black rubicon below looks awesome with the Mopar lift and those wheels. They are 20s, however, I think it would look even better with 37s.

I’m sure some of you will say not to go with 20” wheels, but I like the looks of them. The 37s should give me enough additional rubber to improve the ride quality.

the wheel options are as follows:

20x9 +1 offset and 5 “bsm”
20x10 -18 offset and 4.75 bsm
20x12 -44 offset and 4.77 bsm

tires = 37x13.50 R20 Nitto Mud Grapplers.
The site shows the 13.50 is actually 14.13” wide.

I don’t want them sticking out too far. Probably An inch or two at the most.

based on this, I am thinking the 20x9 with positive 1 offset would be the route to go. Still wondering how far they will stick out with that.

lift will likely be the Mopar 2”

jeep is Unlimited Rubicon 2021

thank you for any input.

For reference, here is a pic of the 37” grapplers on 17s. The wheels are positive 1 offset.

and a couple more of the Rubi with the wheels I like.

I normally don't like 20s on a Jeep, but those look really good. The 37s will give enough sidewall. My concern would be that the weight of the tire and wheel together will be way on the heavy side. Pick the most offset that will allow you to turn without rubbing. The less that sticks out past the fenders the better.

I thought the same thing when I saw the picture of those wheels. A lot of 20s look terrible on our jeeps.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
The 10" -18 offset is the best choice, give you enough clearance for the wider 13.5 width tires but not stick out like a skateboard w/ that 12" -44 offset (please don't get that one).

Once you get up to 37" tires, the 20" wheels look good. Prolly not the best if hardcore rock crawling but more talk about doing that than actually do...

For anyone thinking of 20’s, I’d suggest you look up the wheel and tire weights of both 17” wheel and tires and 20“ wheel and tires and let that play into your research. 20 inch wheels weigh a lot more then 17’s. 20 inch tires Weigh a little less then 17’s. On a diesel powered 3/4 ton pickup truck 20’s don’t affect it too much. But on an under powered and under braked Jeep...........

tires 37x13.50r20 = 87.66 lbs
Wheels = 37 lbs (20x9)

I will look at other sizes as well.

17x9 = 30 lbs
37x13.50r17 = 97 lbs

so,,

20s = 124.66 lbs

17s = 127 lbs.

Larger wheels, in this case, are 2.34 lbs lighter than smaller.
