Uhh, yeah, but we have precedent
Have you jeep guys had the opportunity to read the sidewall of nitto recon grappler 35/12.50/20. It states this tire has to be on 20 inch rim. If not, warranty is void. I called nitto, and they confirmed. Pays to read the small print.
I wonder if he took the early advice and got new 3.6 heads ?

Damnit, that fine print strikes again 😁
I certainly he didn't try to install those heads, they're for a V-8. I guess you'd have to cut one off of each side to fit on the Pentastar. 😁

I guess you guys run wheels that you can pick up cheap. From the looks of pictures posted on here
You should see my other truck.
It's so old the dash is gone and doors are about ready to fall off.
And that's my daily driver.

But on the subject of 3.6L longevity, it seems to vary. Some have gone a long way and some have not but as others have said you will hear more about the failures than you will the non-failures. Just the same as the news reports the auto accidents and not the non-accidents.

I followed the manufacturers break-in and oil change recommendations to a T. At 15k I got a CEL (misfire) and took it into the dealer for the 5k interval oil change and the check the CEL source. It turns out my oil was contaminated with metal and causing a sensor failure on the lifters. They replaced the engine instead of messing with the lifters and cams.
This time around I went all out on the break-in and had the oil changed at 600 miles. I'll change it again when that oil hits 3k and will probably go at 5k after that. I need this truck to last a long, long time.

Too soon to tell…i feel like a peasant because I don’t have a Harley or Mall Crawler wheels. I don’t feel included.
I have been doing the off road thing for a lot of years. I am done with that

Every engine reliability thread or this vs. that thread inevitably turns into a shitpost by page 3.
And here we are with 16 pages and growing!
