After this warning, I hope fewer people put 20" rims on their JL. To be safe keep your rims to 18" and smaller.

My guess is that they couldn’t find a tailgate spare tire mount that fits their new tires not to mention a reinforcement bracket.

Mounting it on the roof would require an oversize permit and pilot cars.
