Was thinking about going this weekend. Was it crowded when you went or not too bad? Pack lunch or picked something up in the area?

I went on September 5, the Saturday before Labor Day. I got there early just after they opened at 8 and was the only one there at first. Stayed until about 1 or so. More people were coming throughout the morning but I wouldn’t say it was crowded. I brought a lunch, if you don’t you’ll have to drive a couple of miles to the nearest place to eat. Not far.

If it has rained recently in the area some trails and areas will be closed because they’re extremely difficult or impassable when it’s muddy.

Ah ok thanks for the scoop. I’ll take a look at Bridgeport weather since It’s been raining pretty regularly up here on the S side of Dallas. You managing to stay above water down there?

We got steady rain off and on for about 3 days from Beta but not bad at all where I live. Some parts of Houston (S, SW) got flash flooding and street flooding but nothing devastating. Thanks for the concern.

I’m looking to do this very soon! Did you have any favorite parts?

North Loop, South Loop, High Top (it’s not as steep as it seems - OK, yes it is but try it anyway. I made it), the blue and green trails around the Pavilion area, some of the short trails that intersect Power Line North.
