I received one as a Christmas gift last year. I've used it to stow a small prescription bottle in which I've placed a $35 emergency gas cash allotment. No great loss if it's stolen. One could argue that only a familiar eye would know that the HitchSafe is under the anonymizing rubber cover that is included in the package.

Actually, you can simply wrap a piece of aluminum foil around the fob before you put it in, and it will not trigger the proximity locks.https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/hitchsafe-key-vault.55490/
I have proximity locks, and could still open the doors with it in the hitch. So, back it went. I didn’t want to mess with faraday bags and such.
