I’ve got one. I use it when I go surfing. It was tough to fit my stock fob with anything else in there. Now that I have the threedom fobs there is much more room.

I have one watched the referenced video never used it.

I use the tuffy tailgate box while at the beach. That is still just a deterrent with big enough channel lock pliers you could get in.

This is true how many criminals actually walk around with such tools at the beach. Would not leave long term but probably safe enough for short term sporadic use.

Just. Seeing one says “the keys are in here”. Shouldn’t be too hard to break it open with an improvised tool.

Way too obvious - invites curiosity. Just figure out how to hide your keys discretely.

Help a dummy out: I’m assuming that this would not work with proximity locks, right?

whoops…. Answered as I typed my question.

I received one as a Christmas gift last year. I've used it to stow a small prescription bottle in which I've placed a $35 emergency gas cash allotment. No great loss if it's stolen. One could argue that only a familiar eye would know that the HitchSafe is under the anonymizing rubber cover that is included in the package.

Even with the cover properly fitted, it's possible for a bit of moisture to eventually seep into the little locking tray. Just an FYI, based on what the owner might choose to store in there.
