Third brake light wire damage

I’ve never messed around with the electrical wiring for any of the lights before... that being said my third brake light went out a few weeks after I installed the tire relocation bracket.

I have no idea on the wiring but if it’s color coded I would just strip the wires back and Splice them back together with either solder and then seal with heat shrink or use a water tight butt connector and heat shrink

Here is a quick vid ( not me ) on using a butt connector, just slide the heat shrink on before crimping or you can even use electrical tape like 3M super 88 as it better than that cheapie stuff
