I left out the original Jeepster becuase ot was just meant to be a road car that kinda looked like a Jeep. None of the originals were 4x4 as far as I know.
2WD only, and single transverse leaf front suspension, making putting the 4WD under it more difficult. The owner’s brother had a stock one. Their sons are about my age and still had them, but I lost contact after Dad’s funeral, (his friends went before him). I told John Jr at that time if he ever wanted to sell it I would like to have it. *All it needed was the 3 spd upgraded to a 4 spd.
I’d bet money that net pic is it .
*Edit- and the 283 replaced with an L-79 or better while your at it 😉

Every time a post like this comes up, it solidifies that thread on “you didn’t buy the right vehicle” or something along those lines 😂. Maybe it was by @Tredsdert don’t remember? The wrangler was MADE for off-roading/rock climbing. I truly don’t care who says otherwise, since those who don’t agree will inevitably end up buying something else within a year or two.
I don't think it was my thread. But I do remember that thread. That was a fun thread!

Yeah I thought about commenting in this thread earlier today. I just decided not to. I mean if the dude wants to leave, let him leave. No hate from me. But I think like the second post in here said it best, you don't need to tell us you're leaving, just go.

Jeep raised prices by 50% in five years
Not sure that is an accurate statement...perhaps generally "across the fleet" but not on a specific vehicle/trim basis. You can get a base sport for just a few thousand more now than 5 years ago...that is not a 50% increase.

My brother has had a new LC for about a month.
I’ve driven it multiple times.
It’s boring with a capital B!!
Nothing more than 4Runner dressed up. .
No doors or top coming off.
Some great philosopher once said “ life is too short to drive boring cars”.
I couldn’t agree more.
One of my favorite parts about the Jeep is that the doors come off.

Stellantis saw the most price increases, at more than double the rate of inflation.

Hyundai is second, due to entering larger, higher-priced segments with Palisade, all-new EVs, and growing the Genesis luxury brand.

GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, VW grew prices at half the rate of Stellantis.

I like how we make excuses for hyundai but stellantis launched the grand wagoneer, 392 wrangler, and the hugely marked up last call hellcats, and the trx in that same time frame. Launching a bunch of near to above 6 figure vehicles drives up the average vehicle price for the brand...who would have thought?

Just as I thought...that is not the same as saying Jeep raised prices by 50%. They introduced a lot of higher priced vehicles so the overall cost per vehicle sold rose. You should know the difference.

Yet Jeep sales are down 45% since 2018...

So far Jeep 2024 sales are running another 20% below last year.

Totally irrelevant to your misleading 50% cost increase statement.

A base Sport JL in 2018 was something like 23,000. Base price is now over 32,000. So maybe not 50% but it's up there.

I can't believe a post I made has gotten so many reactions from so many different people. When I called the guy out I didn't expect it to gain that much traction but here we are. This thread has certainly been interesting.

You’ll have to excuse aldo. Lots of mixed signals. Pisses on Jeep while owning a Wrangler. Sells Jeep to buy a Mini of all things. Then sells the Mini to get back into a Jeep and continues to piss on Jeep 🤷‍♂️
