Noticed a small spot on my garage floor. Been crawling around and my driver side front shock is pretty wet underneath. What do you guys and gals think? Checked other three and they are all dry. I drive a ton, can this wait a few hundred miles?

Thanks,

Ryan

take a black light (uv) to it and if it glows, you’ve got shock leak.
Can buy the light off amazon for $10

Yes it can wait a while. Should be a really quick fix. Have the dealer order the part and hopefully they will swap it out real quick when it comes in. Might be a good time to upgrade shocks though!

Only so she could drive around on the upgraded shocks!

Might be able to find a steal of a deal from someone who upgraded their suspension or just go the dealer route

Ok, don't think it is a shock. I see oil under the engine on the driver's side on some engine bolts. I used a black light on the shocks and nothing.

Need to get oil changed and will see if they can take a peek at this as well. Weird that it is not dripping to the floor from the bolts and it isn't near the shocks. Oil level looked good.

Dealer confirmed bad shock. Mechanic thinks I may have leaking timing cover as well.
