I'm sold. I already bookmarked this build so I didn't have to search when I get ready to buy but now I have to force myself to wait. That looks really good. Any issues with flaking or needing anymore touch up? Did you scuff and prime?
The wheel parts are a chrome plated plastic, I used a wire brush on a drill to try and scuff them up but it didn’t really do much. I ended up using a set etching primer before the paint and finished it with rustoleum clear coat. We’ll see how it holds up but so far so good. I plan on removing the painted parts when I go wheeling just to keep them nice. One suggestion, if you get a 17” wheel, you need a low profile wheel weight and it has to be placed close to the outside of the wheel as possible. The weights that came on them hit my calipers.I'm sold. I already bookmarked this build so I didn't have to search when I get ready to buy but now I have to force myself to wait. Really like the painted badges. What was your technique (I assumed you pulled off badge to paint?).Had some free time so I painted plasti dipped the chrome badges. They should have done them black from the factory!!
for the badges I used plastidip and I didn’t have to remove them. Search youtube for painting the badges. It’s easy.Really like the painted badges. What was your technique (I assumed you pulled off badge to paint?).
I really like the dash and was thinking of doing that myself (I have the same color Jeep but the JLU...just not sure if I trust myself to remove dash). How much MOPAR paint did you have you use for it? (Assuming you used the MOPAR spray cans)
It also looks like you tinted your windows including the hardtop rear, Was curious what % you got. It looks really good (I’m a fan of the Orange/Black color scheme).
