Bahahahaha, of course the video would come out after I just tried to figure it out with no guidance... I got most of it right, and yes the T55 would have been nice to have, but I may of just made a size smaller work...

So far I think everything I have bought has had crappy instructions or no instructions at all. Stuff just shows up with a bunch of bolts and nuts.

The door is pretty moveable if you loosen the bolts. the door pretty much floats.

DV8 RBJL-01 bumper with DV8 TCJL-06 bumper mounted tire carrier.

Finally got the tire carrier installed since I wasn’t going to put that heavy 37 on my tail gate.
First off I have to commend DV8 on the tire carrier build quality, everything is solid and lined up with ease.
Second DV8 why don’t you provide instructions????
Here are my recommendations to anyone who installs this. There are some pretty decent You Tube videos out there from other brands that will give you a good starting point. Take some of them with a grain of salt because this tire carrier still has its own quirks. For example, the spacing for the Heim joints you need to fill the gap with washers, and there’s no jam nut for the adjuster, my solution was to use the wing nuts as jam nuts since they fit perfect. There are 2 bolts on the back side of the tire carrier, I’ll assume that’s for a hi lift style jack and the wing nuts are for them.
I’d also recommend placing the plastic washers that come off the factory mounting bolts for the tire carrier and place them on the opposite side of the steel plate that mounts to the door between the paint and the new plate. The factory CHMSL lines up well but I had to slightly re route the wire to get that extra inch to fit the grommet back in the factory hole, zero wires cut here. The camera hole is so far away from the camera it greatly reduces the usable visibility, I’ll be modifying this as soon as I get a bigger step drill bit. I haven’t seen anyone else with this installed yet. Best of luck on your install if you got one.

I ordered this Jan 7th and have yet to receive it. DV8 started telling me next week, then 2 weeks, etc. Now it is mid April. Apparently they are trying to resolve the camera issue.

I just received and installed one I ordered from quadratec last week...only took a week to get it and I believe mine came with the new camera bracket...my camera sticks out the hole about 1/4” but I do get a lot of tire around the edge of the viewer.

My only complaint is that due to the bracket/box size and placement of the 3rd brake light factory wheels won’t mount on it without a spacer

I will call quadratec and check availability. I ordered mine from Rubitrux.

I ordered the RBJL-02. Comes with end caps. Maybe that is the issue.

Not an issue with the bumper at all...it’s an issue with the tire carrier...because of the limited offset on the wheel...outside of that not sure what your saying

I was just saying I haven't received mine yet because it is a different model than the one you have and DV8 is having issues with the camera tube on the RBJL-02.

BTW, your carrier looks nice.

I ordered the new DV8 body mounted tire carrier. Supposedly not shipping until mid January.

I liked the look of their previous tire carrier for the JK, so I decided to run with this one. It's a little gaudy. But it should look really nice with a fastback soft top, which I am waiting on to be released.

They still aren't shipping yet. I cancelled my order.

Worst release of a product, ever. They keep bumping the eta out 4-6 weeks every few weeks. Never ending.

I ordered it in December of 2018. New year, still doesn't exist.
