Is it the full $200? The advertisement says up to $200.It is.
What is the difference between the old and new methods? I saw most videos have door rails on first, then put sunrider on top of them, is that not a desirable?@Bestop - just want to inform you that the Sunrider for Hardtop is still shipping with the old instructions, that have you install the door rails first and then install/attach everything else after. I called into support and verified that the new instructions are online at https://assets.bestop.com/files/_bestop/10/8/5/52452_a.pdf.
That is only for the full tops..What happened to the $200 Rebate through April ??
Give them a call and state your disappointment! They might give it to you!! Cant hurt to ask. These are difficult times!!!They apparently changed the rebate in the middle of April, see Quadratec still has the old rebate form
https://www.quadratec.com/sites/default/files/embedded/bestop-bigone-200-rebate.pdf
It clearly has the twill sunrider (52425-17) in the old form. I am kind of bummed because the reason I jumped is the $200 rebate, now they are down to $100 which is essentially the same in March.
Looks like it's only $100 now.Is it the full $200? The advertisement says up to $200.
New method is to pre-assemble everything. Meaning you attach the door rails to the top first, and then install the entire assembly onto the vehicle. What is the difference between the old and new methods? I know the difference, I was asking if there is an advantage one way or another?New method is to pre-assemble everything. Meaning you attach the door rails to the top first, and then install the entire assembly onto the vehicle.
You can see the difference here:

Well, you did ask "what's the difference?" in your post. The advantage of the updated install process is that it's easier to get the z-clips inserted and top fitted to the door rails properly. With the old process, you'd have to make sure the back of the top was seated properly behind the already installed door rails.I know the difference, I was asking if there is an advantage one way or another?
Not true. The door rails sit in the same locations as the stock freedom panels.Just realize one can no longer fold down the windshield with sunrider, because the door rails sit on top of the windshield weather seal and prevent it from rotating forward.
Nothing big deal but still.
Yes, and you have to remove your freedom panels to fold the windshield, why? Because freedom panel sits on the windshield weather seal. With sunrider, the door rail sits on top of the seal all the time, so the only way to fold windshield is to remove sunrider. Not true.
