Just ordered through Northridge. Claims the new backbone will ship next week direct from Rhinorack but we'll see, I expect more likely it will be the week after.

I ordered one from Northridge. I have found that orders and deliveries seem to be faster from retailers than from the manufacturers. Many retailers' prices and shipping costs (if any) are usually less than ordering directly.

If you buy just the base rhino backbone can you attach other racks to it? Or do you need the Rhino quick mount legs?

The mount bases on the backbone are drilled and tapped, you can add any roof attachment you want as long as you can mount it to those mount bases.

Anyone try the Expedition One Ultra Mid-Rack on their JLU yet? I like the mid-rack option because I can take the freedom panels off. But still shopping..
