Thanks Simple. Last question(s). Does it rub on the existing roof line anywhere and what is the total height added?
It is all added to the gutters. It runs very close to the roof line itself, but doesn't touch.

The JL gutters are strong - and that is where the weight is thrown on.

From Rhino Rack USA today about availability of JL backbone system...

“At this time we do not have an exact ETA for the new JL system other than before this coming spring, they are currently in production with an expected arrival in the next couple months”

This alternative is a shot in the dark but I am curious if anyone has looked at the specs of the Gobi JKU and JLU roof racks and compared the two to see if the JKU can be purchased and modified?

Isn't the JLU Gobi available now? I have mine and it's great aside from a couple annoyances I think I can fix.

Just ordered the Gobi stealth rack and quick disconnects today as I have a soft top and the rack choices are pretty limited.

According the latest pics on their INSTAGRAM Feed they should be available FEB.

The instagram response was from 1/4 and mine is from Rhino Rack USA on 1/15. Clearly they are not as confident on the estimate. But should be out by mid March (start of Spring). Here's to hoping for February.

Also possible they start taking orders in Feb for Shipping in March. I'd better have my Jeep my then.
Anyone know how much height this adds to the top of the JL? My garage is not standard and I'm trying to figure out if I can do a Rack, a Lift or maybe squeak by with both.

Just T slot bolts.

Similar to the rhino pioneer platform rack system.
Ordered the EVO rack based on you pics and feedback. On the rotopax did you use the slot bolts to mount the standard rotopax mounting hardware or replace the base with sonething for referent. Trying to decide what to order to achieve a similar setup with the Rotopax. Also thinking of drilling out the side rail to connect my Hauk hi lift hood mount. Will post pics if I have success.

I am highly interested in the EVO roof rack. I hate drilling into fiberglass, and I don't usually carry over 100 lbs+ at all.

The installation seems easy from the instruction. I wonder if I can do it just by myself.

I do. Been using it for a month or so.

The rating of the rack is essentially the rating of the hard top itself.

That roof rack looks great! It will suit my needs perfectly. It will also work with my Sunrider for the hardtop, which is ideal.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
