Forgot to mention the steering takes a little getting used to. The mechanism feels tight but the steering (track of vehicle) tends to wander somewhat.
Mine felt tight (the need to adjust it a lot) initially and it went away. I suspect letting a little air out of the tires will help that too.

By the way, I have no skin in this game, but some like one or two of these on their rigs (front and back receiver hitches notwithstanding)

for longer Kayacs on shorter Wranglers (like your 2 door)

another manufacturer who sells on etrailer.com makes a similar product. Good luck

forgot to mention my Sport has the anti-slip package which added the Goodyear AT tires and .......wait for it.........the D44 :like:. that was pretty much the most important thing in all of my jeep shopping (all years). didnt even know it was available on non-rubis any more till i started scanning tons and tons of JL window stickers (reviewing options). i saw that and was like, whoa, what? i want that one! i had pretty much resigned to getting a Sport without one too.

i dont think its known yet if the new standard D35(?) axles are better in the JLs, or weak, but i'm very happy to have to scored a 44 (or whatever they call them now).

To me the $595 for the antispin and D44 was a no brainer.
