Freak snow storm in Michigan a couple weeks ago. White out, and I was flashing others to turn their lights on. And clearly they never got that message. Whole front end was hard packed and useless.

I remember seeing this and had to drive through some cold country recently in my LED headlight equipped Wrangler. Fortunately we never drove through enough snow for it to pack up on the headlights. I thought this could happen with some aftermarket headlights I bought for my 4Runner too. Maybe those stand a little better chance since they aren't recessed like the ones on the Wrangler. So far, the best implementation that I've seen of LED headlights that might actually stand a chance in snow are the ones on my Tundra. The factory Tundra LED headlights have the LED heatsinks inside the light housing. I know LEDs make heat and need heatsinks so I wonder if they did that on purpose to help melt off snow.
