The salesman for the 23' I ordered couldn't wrap his head around why I didn't want A/C

And yet you sprung for tinted window panels, you big spender. ;)

If yours is truly a 2023, A/C should have been standard (as illustrated in the preceding post). Are you sure about the model year of your JL?

The Firecracker Red is my 20' the 23' is on order and will be HV. Back in 20' A/C was optional, I wasn't aware it's mandatory until I ordered the new JL

Appreciate the great trip report and glad it went well! Even better to know that you did some serious highway driving and didn't have a window blow-out. Seems like that's a popular topic amongst fellow soft-top owners in the forum, so just curious if you have the old style windows (with black plastic tabs) or new style windows (with green plastic tabs).
I have the black, no problems at all.

Stand proud base model owners! There is nothing some tires and a blatant disregard for safety will not achieve to dominate the silly Rubicons.

After xmas I will have the rubicon take off suspension i picked up for $100, mopar LCAs and 285/70/17 patagonia MTs on here. With the limited slip, which was the only option i have, thats good enough for most anything east of the Mississippi :) Oh and maybe a cheap harbor freight winch on an amazon cheap bumper.

Might wanna search around this site some and rethink those Patagonias. They were all the rage for awhile when the price was cheap, but an overall bad tire for anything but dedicated trail use. They don't last long either. A new Jeep deserves good tires, not trail beater tires.

Mine have been good for the price I paid, but I paid like half the price they're going for now, at the current price agree 100% w/ @The Last Cowboy there are much better options for close to the Patagonia price.

Puts me firmly in 1B...only option installed before purchase was tow package. My kids had no idea how to roll down the windows at first, and I've grown to love the 6 speed manual tranny. Added tubes and gas cap cover, and put 35's on the steelies.
