Kudos to “the lowly 2-dr Sport.” I’ve been making some runs with Rubicons on some pretty challenging trails, and the the sport has hung in there with the “big boys.” Even without lockers or 37-39” tires, it performs like a champ. It’s also kinda fun being the underdog on a trail run.

I never cease to be amazed at folks (esp Jeep newbies) who believe a stock Jeep is incapable of off road travel without extensive mods-never remembering that a stock JL is FAR more capable than the decades of MB’s, CJ’s, YJ’s etc that traveled all over the world. A Sport, with limited slip and decent rubber is a Very capable machine right from the dealer, more so than most drivers (and almost ALL new off road drivers).. The other fun (?) group are the “I bought a Jeep so I can’t get stuck” crowd. They pretty quickly learn their lesson. (Wonder if they’re the same folks who later insist that lifts, big tires, and lockers are “required” off road?). Just a thought..

I am staying stock other than I ditched the all season highway tires it came with for 265-70 BFG (stock height), the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop, and cosmetic changes to represent my preferences (C8R color inspired). Auto/AC/Hardtop are my only options. Love it. Fun road tripper and Colorado 4 season-go anywhere I want to go sports car.

3b here. Just ordered my first Wrangler. 2023 Willys sport. 6mt, Power nothing, hard top, tow package, High Velocity Yellow (I hope I like it!!!) Maybe a small lift and some 35's when its time to replace the stock tires.

I think I’m going to go with Fox this time to save some cash. The Falcon 3.3 are great, but probably a little harsh for a 2 door.

I have a 2 door JL Sport S with Falcon sp2 3.3 shocks on factory springs. My wife and I just finished a trip from WA to WY and drove on varied terrain throughout. We were most comfortable with the "hardest" setting on the shocks. We traveled very light, with only two passengers and two medium travel bags (stayed in hotels).

Softest setting:
Felt great off-road
Nauseating on-road

Hardest setting:
Felt great on-road
A little stiff off-road, but not annoying at slower speeds

I look forward to the Clayton 1.5" overland kit with the beefier springs - maybe I'll get to dial the shocks down to a softer setting more often.

I am firmly in 1D! A 2018 2 Door 2.0 Turbo with 8 speed auto and stock as a sport gets when I bought it. Now I have:

- 35x12.5x17 Mud Claw Extreme tires on 9.5x17 rims with a -6 offset
- 4.88 differential gears
- AmFib Upper/Lower Snorkel
- EAG Rock Crawler front bumper with lower skid plate
- Fishbone Rear bumper Delete
- Dynamax Muffler Delete
- Asfir fuel, transfer case, belly pan skid plates
- Rough Country differential skids front/rear
- Rough Country Rear Lower Control Arm Skids
- KBD Fender Flares

They should fit a 22 with no issues. I didn't paint them. I left them black, but it shouldn't be hard to paint them. A little light sanding and a primer and you should be good to go.

Great thread. Don’t see a lot of 2a lately, but that’s me I think… eventually. 2-door, soft top, Sport S ordered. No plans to lift, but maybe swap out for some Willys black rims or Sport black steel rims somewhere down the road.

Group 2B. Sport S Soft Top, MT, only option is adaptive cruise. First Jeep and loving it! Wanted one for a very long time and now fortunate enough to get one as a second ride for me. Rims and tires next week. No plans to lift. Wont be rock crawling or sinking in mud but the "Jeep Trails" at some of Arkansas waterfall hiking places are calling me. It may not be top of the line to others but to me it's perfect! Yall stay safe and enjoy your rides!!!

Got my Sport last month and I’m absolutely loving it. I do not regret at all going from a four door to two door. Kids love it and don’t mind having to climb into the back. So far I have only added side steps and that will probably be it for now as far as mods.
