I don't believe that hole is for the soft top. I had seen somewhere on this forum that it was used at the factory during the build process. There are some aftermarket parts that use it, but it's not threaded, so not as useful as it could be.

Isn’t the shoulder bet attached to the other end of it? I figured they put that tube through the roll bar, welded it in place, and tapped the end that needed threads.

Probably for all the "accessories" they planned on coming out with bit never will.

Like the stuff that was supposed to come out for the mopar tailgate reinforcement.

But like half doors, if anything does show up it'll he half assed I'm sure :(
