We need to the Jeep aftermarket to step up and offer conversion kits. Of all the vehicle communities, the Wrangler is the perfect vehicle to convert to BEV. It may not be as efficient as a Tesla, but it would allow many to keep their current vehicles with the accessories they have invested and switch to electric. I personally would like to wait for solid state batteries.
One thing about the current crop of electric vehicles is that I view them as early smartphones. They are all basically obsolete already as the current 2170 and 18650 batteries will be instantly behind the 4680 batteries coming out in a year or so and those will be obsoleted by solid state (if they ever work). The battery technology is going to really advance over the next 5-10 years and today's electric cars will depreciate terribly as they are usurped by much faster charging and longer driving versions.
