The Ford Mustang is the most similar vehicle to the Jeep Wrangler available in the U.S.

I just knew that was Marilyn. I've seen that baby on the Mustang forum.
LOL what's up Jim. Long time. I need to spend more time on TMS. :) I hope you've been well... I really am enjoying Wruby. I love this Jeep.

I'd still go with a new Camaro over the mustang though. I just associate Mustangs with High School - College Girls. Probably make up for most of their sales.

All is well, and we are really enjoying the Jeep brother. We did our first trail riding this week. Man, I've got a lot to learn. It was difficult to sell that little '06, but the guy had the cash in hand with a big want in his eyes. We had been talking about Jeeps for quite awhile, and though why not. We ain't gettin' any younger. And, I can get my Mustang on with the brides car.

Can't say enough about the aftermarket for the Mustangs. I've had 7 Mustangs and anything and everything was available for them.
One thing I will say, my prior Jeep JK's had so much more from the aftermarket. I understand the JL is "New", but the aftermarket for the Mustang had '05 parts available before it even hit the showrooms!
Ford likely gave companies early access to the vehicles so they could get a jump start on parts. They are quite cozy with aftermarket companies. From what ive read on the JL is Mopar wouldnt allow them access so Mopar could essentially corner the market. aftermarket companies were forced to wait till they received their own jeeps just like you and me.

Wow... I can't believe you sold that 06. :( Why?!?!?!?! Love it.
Thanks... I just wasn't driving it anymore. I live in S. Florida, it's congested with few, if any, rural areas to just "go for a drive".
Trust me, I never thought I would sell it, but I have been fine since, and have not missed it. I'm getting a little older and realizing stuff is just stuff.

No Mustangs for me. My brief fast car passion was German. And 20 years long gone.
I feel yā€™all though.
I remember when I first thought a car was cool. 1965. I was 12.
My dad drove Pontiac sedans. Two-tones. 4 doors. Stately.
My best friend Mantonā€™s dad bought a brand-new Mustang.
I thought his dad was way cooler than mine. At least regarding cars.
I was right, I reckon.

Somebody just directed me to this post. I have owned a Mustang since 2004 and currently own a 2015 Mustang GT. I have approximately 45k into it on top of the 31K I paid for it. This car has been my baby for the last four years. She sits somewhere in the 730rwhp range on a conservative tune. Last July I bought my wife a 2018 Rubicon, as she has wanted a Jeep since she was young. Admittedly I have been having more fun in the Jeep than the Mustang, but that is mostly due to being bored of the Mustang. Never thought I would be bored of 700 plus horsepower. I just can't bring myself to sell it. Labor of love.

I wanted a mustang so bad in high school but it was quite a few years later before I could afford one. I finally found that 89 GT I had always wanted and I even sold my beloved CJ5 for money to modify the mustang. There was an incredible aftermarket for the fox body mustangs. I built/enjoyed that car for 12 years before jeep fever finally took over again and I sold the mustang for money to modify my new 07 JK. All jeeps ever since but I do miss that car!

I also agree as Iā€™m a loyal owner of both!

Hey thats a really nice GT. Love the way you did it. Its rare to find an owner that doesnt "overdo" them and i love your nice subtle mods.
I was actually going to go for those wheels too, so we think a lot alike :)
Here's my '11. I have the CS front fascia sitting in a box in my garage waiting to go on too.
Sorry about the terrible vignette filter haha... i cant find the original pic.

I have to ask, what brand are those beautiful side exhausts you have there?

Hey man! Thanks for the props! I see youā€™re a Kona ownah too :). Youā€™ll have to tell me about your mods. Iā€™ll have to tell you about all mine sometime - but those are Kooks side pipes paired with Magnaflow RTR axlebacks.. I got them straight from Kooks before they discontinued them. I got them to go along with full Kooks headers with race cats. I have a Maggie 2.3L blower amongst many other things. I found an unedited pic on my phone. Sorry for the crap shot.
