Worked like a charm!

With regard to the sensitive electronics bundled just in the dashboard, I'd batten down the Jeep's hatches as a matter of its survival.I've been running with tube doors and safari top for a while
...in two days I'll need to take the Jeep in to work and the weather forecast that day is currently calling for more than an inch of rain. So, what would you do?
Try this video - at the 1:54 mark they talk about how to pull it out. I have never tried it so I can't speak to it working or notOkay might as well post here... when I took my doors off last weekend I accidentally forgot to remove the bolt that controls the swing detent and max opening and now it is crammed into its receptacle.
Any ideas on how to fix? I tried pulling it back out with as much for force I could give but it didn't get back over center and full length.

I’m glad you were able to make this choice and answer this existential question in a world without inherent meaningI opted to follow the prevailing wisdom and button everything up. Which, of course, means that the weather tomorrow will now be 72 and sunny. And, you're welcome...![]()
I find lots of reasons to find fault with my soft doors but they are great when it might rain because you can stash them in the back and head out with the doors off and the top back with the sun shining. Gives you several options when it starts raining.I find that with no doors on, the wind envelope of the Jeep in motion keeps almost all of the rain out of the cab. Even more so if you have a bikini or bimini-style top on. I recently acquired a set of soft doors and keep them in the back for "just in case." They are horrendously noisy when mounted, but I only mount them when it's pouring, and I need to go somewhere. Otherwise, I have a cab/trail cover that I throw over the jeep when I need to park it for a while, and I don't know what the weather is going to be.
Ha, I sport that look frequently, especially in the spring and fall. It looks a little goofy (according to the wife) but it works. 40F and rain is a different animal than 70F and rain. Put the electric windows up, turn on the heater and you are good to go. Inside fog on the windshield is miserable and can be dangerous.I could always split the difference and go full-on Mullet Mode:

Funny- 30% was always my number too!not so much for the Jeep but for me, I don't like being soggy. whether it's doors off or the Harley, if it's better than a 30% chance of rain doors stay on and I don't ride.
