Mine sat in JS for 13 days and finally went KZ last week.

It is storage. I believe mine was waiting on a part - so they transported it up to Taylor, MI to a storage facility for the time it took for the part to arrive.

Then they transported it back down to Toledo and it went KZ the same day.

You are either waiting for a part - or waiting for a train.
Thanks simpleJL

Well there went any chances of going back to sleep. KZ ETA 2/28 - 3/4.

Now the dilemma. Buy while in transit to make use of the golden ticket, or wait to inspect and potentially leave $500 on the table.

I think the common denominator is the top area. I test drove a Sport on 2/7 that came off the truck 2/7 and there was a wind noise above the rear view mirror that was not acceptable. This could of been an isolated issue or has been identified as a flaw in all tops by FCA, maybe a weather strip issue. I have heard others that received there JL’s mention this noise. Just guessing though. I will wait patiently, after working in this industry for 35 plus years it is better that the factory builds it correctly instead of having a after production fix done in the dealership. In the mean time I’ll have a cold beer

Interesting that my window sticker is available as of this morning but the latest tracking still shows me in JB. I’m hoping the next update has me moving along but trying not to get my hopes up since my order is dual tops.

Rail. If it don’t ship soon I am definitely cancelling.

My dealer actually called me on Friday and asked if I wanted to skip the dual tops and go with just the hard. Said his district manager was in the dealership and talking to them about the soft top delay and indicated they could update the order (ordered early Feb, JB for just over a week) to hard and it could ship almost immediately. Otherwise I could have to wait til mid March. The only catch was if I ordered the soft top separately from the dealer I wouldn’t get the package discount. Based on that I told them I would wait and take my chances since others here with order dates close to mine seem to be slowly shipping out. It would be nice if FCA would provide the top after the fact and allow the dealer to honor the combo price, but appreciated the call and offer of an option. I have purchased 5 vehicles incl my JLUR over 10 years so have a pretty good relationship with my sales guy so that may have been something he was trying to work on my behalf.

I'm sorry for all you guys and girls stuck in JB purgatory. Not sure if that's better or worse than ordering 1/25 and getting D1 status on 2/1 and every call since then to Jeep Chat is met with the same everything is gathered to build your jeep and it will (insert here) be built shortly, within a few days, in the near future. Since D1 is supposed to mean everything is available, I can only imagine it's the soft top and they're not building any more dual tops because they're running out of storage space for built jeeps waiting for the premium soft top. It's irritating watching newer orders speed through the process, I can only imagine how the people that ordered in October through November feel that are still waiting.

That was pretty cool of your dealer to offer that! I was actually considering doing that (if I could), but I am taking my chances as well.

Patience is the key to this whole process.

I dropped by a weekly rail service review meeting on Friday, and overall velocity has been trending down the past three or so weeks. Maybe your time in JB will be enough for the eastern roads to get back up to speed.

First time posting but I’ve been lurking around here since before the launch. Today is day 20 of being stuck in JB. Originally the wait was not that hard but after finding out that my jeep was built its become increasingly difficult to wait. I have been treating my new jeep addiction by purchasing aftermarket parts the jeep. While it initially helped scratch the itch, I now have my rocksliders, winch, air compressor, mats, etc sitting in my garage waiting on my baby to get home to be able to install everything. Hopefully things get moving!
