I'll keep your recommendation in mind. I had a friend/coworker who used them occasionally when we worked at Boeing Long Beach, and have picked him up and dropped him off several times.
I just picked up my Reign Rubicon yesterday at Miracle CJDR in Gallatin Tennessee. There is nothing else in this world I trust less then a car dealership/salesman. And I know they are not all bad. But I have no complaints about my salesman, Chad or the dealership. Chad seems to be a great guy and the owner seems really friendly. The finance guy didn't pressure me for a warranty or the financing. But since I had a 2.59% for 66 months pre-approved loan, I doubt he could have even gotten close to matching that. So if you are looking for a Jeep at a great price, and are will to go to Gallatin TN, I would highly recommend Miracle CJDR...

Here is the experience with my local dealer.

Dealer 1, bought a Ram 1500, Ram 2500, GC Trailhawk and a Viper from them. Decent deals on everything. Looked at a Power Wagon and a JLUR this year, and they wanted over sticker on everything. Bought everything out of state and saved about $15,000 combined. What they told me, and I quote "We don't need to do a deal, because someone else will buy it". That is what it comes down to, is their bottom line. They have no loyalty other than to the money they can make off of people. On the same token, I also look for the best deal, which to me means, I won't use them for any purchases ever again. I will go to Mark Dodge every time, and just get the cars shipped in. Problem solved.

Is this a real life conversation lol 😆 yes dealers do their job. Some good, some fair, some bad. I worked in dealerships for 25 years and now 8 years into the Vendor side. I had people that knew me we were nice to each other. And then people who (we both) made efforts to become friends. Ie: we meet for drinks we do game nights. Watch each other's bs all the time. So when you say it's just a business relationship..... it can be that's ok. But maybe just maybe you are not a jerk and become friends outside of the dealer. A dealership is a sales job. And you both have Choice on who you so business with. You both Also have a choice to be real friends. You should try it some time.

Yeah I said it. I think those out there that believe they are "friends" with their dealer are generally fools.

I believe the only relationship they have is with your money, and if you think they are your friend, well then
they did their job great. You are supposed to!

You say, well they give me great customer service now!!

well guess what? THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO!! Again. Their job.

I go where the deal is, be it halfway across the country or an hour and a half away like just recently (got lucky there).
Being willing to travel is the single biggest advantage to getting a good car deal. Ok maybe second biggest advantage
right behind being willing to walk away from a deal if it sucks.

It's generally the dude just going down to the local car dealership that is getting boned like a driftwood stripper.
Unless you live close to granger like my buddy that is.
There are people who probably think they have a relationship with their hooker too. The hooker knows better….

I always thought dealers suck. But when Ida hit I lost my car a 21 wrangler my house everything. Fema and my insurance were dragging there feet. Any way I went back to my jeep dealer and the owner came over and told me to take a new gran cherokee cause they had no wranglers at that time. He said give him a check and he would keep it in his wallet and when I found out what I could put down to tell him and he would fill in the amount on the check and do the paperwork at that time.. mean while I drove away with a new cherokee without signing anything. Fortunately later that day I got insurance money and straightened it all out.. I have to admit though the salesman was awful but the owner was great. .

College is expensive, and she really liked.....well somebody, because I ain't that dumb.
I agree 100%. Once they have your cash/signature you become less attractive to them.
I returned to my dealer a few days after the delivery of my Glad, walked right passed my salesman, made eye contact and he did not recognize me.
