Our roads in the CONUS might as well look like that due to the aging infrastructure and this is exactly why I want a Wrangler, not a boutique grocery carrier.

It reminds me of a time years ago in Costa Rica. Sitting on a traffic jam on my Infiniti Q45 and thinking, darn if I had taken the Jeep I would go thru that deeep ditch and get on that frontage road. When I see like 10 cars ahead a Jeep doing just that. It was my wife on our CJ7 toreado V8

Driving in Brazil once the road was paved by the state of Sao Paulo right to the state line then gone, washed away. The next a couple of miles there was not even any signs of asphalt, man I would have liked a Jeep there, but had to gun it in an old farm truck. was like driving down into a crater, and we could not see other side, jsut had to hope if we kept going...

There is the wow factor that he did it in an area that had been hit by an earthquake but, from a technical standpoint, there was nothing challenging about his path that any mildly modified Jeep couldn't do.
