That's a pretty attractive price. How was the install and fitment? Any issues with fitting OEM fogs?
everything fit perfectly, no issues at all.

I too am looking at getting a front bumper and am struggling to look past the OEM Rubicon steel one. Looks perfect in all respects. Winchable, stubby/full option, bull-bar capable. Not sure if there are other similar options out there (except Arcus and the DV8 knock-off, and both don't look that good).

My only concern with the OEM bumper would be weight. Is it too heavy once a winch plate is added? Or is it comparable to other options in the market?

Does anyone have any experience with this bumper?
https://www.extremeterrain.com/mp-c...-forged-aluminum-front-bumper-j134510-jl.html

It looks like a OEM knockoff. But is aluminum and lot cheaper.

Also, this does not look like the eBay version which seems to have two holes on the front on the plastic protrusions.

Thoughts?
I wonder if the ends come off to convert to a stubby like the OEM bumper? No photos of it configured that way. It seems to come with skid plate and winch plate too.

Addictive Desert Designs and Rigid Industries RDS light bar. Man that thing is BRIGHT!!!
Love this one. Been looking at this for quite some time now. How was the installation? Would I be able to keep the OEM sway bar skid plate?

Just ask @cosine he knows!
I feel like I am chasing an invisible bumper. There aren't many that take fog lights, a recessed/tucked winch, the capability to mount 6" accessory lights and is a stubby. I know the Arcus exists but am I missing something?
Been happy w/ my Quadrated QRC, and it's 6 gauge plate, about 100 lbs.

A winch with steel cable will weight about 100 pounds. Not sure about a winch plate, but figure 20 pounds. The OEM Rubi steel bumper is about 100 pounds, so all together you're at 220 pounds. So, get a fluffy neighbor to sit on your front bumper and that's about the static compression.

The huge difference is when that mass starts moving. The 220 pounds of dynamic mass is a big deal. If you don't already have Rubicon or better shocks, get them now. Extra spring rate would be called for along with increased damping. The Rubi bumper is about the same weight as other aftermarket bumpers, but keep all that weight in mind as you're building.

Good post Russ, I had to add a 3/4" spring spacer in front to get my JL back to level after adding 180lbs of bumper & winch, and I have the Rubicon suspension.

@JSFoster75

sounds like you were happy with this purchase. Couple of questions:

- what vendor was it from (doesn’t link to vendor anymore)
- was there a stubby you remember seeing
- did you find a skid plate
- did you get the rear, did it have sensors

Was going to buy LoD but loooing at these also. thx!

I think I saw @Jerrybizzle also got this one

I just linked to an eBay search for EAG bumpers, no specific vendor.
Stubbies are available
There were no skid plate available with the one I got, but it was available with others.
I only got the front, my Jeep doesn’t have sensors. I didn’t want to relocate the rat license plate yet.

Thanks! Do you happen to remember the vendor - I find that being half the battle on eBay?

Mine was from Amazon. The front bumper I believe is still available but can’t find the rear bumper I have from them.
