Sir, perchance were you a Soldier in the Sikh Regiment? We have a lot of respect for Soldiers where I come from. It used to be a tradition for Sikh Men to join the armed forces until about the late 1800s for us in India.
My Great Grandfather from my mother's side was. He served in World War I for the Sikh Regiment of the British Indian Army. He was captured by the Germans towards the end of the war and then released in a prisoner exchange between the British and the Kaiser's forces. His son (my Grandfather) was unable join the British or the Indian army. By the time he was eligible, India was being partitioned into India and Pakistan. Him and my grandmother were on the modern day Pakistani side and the ongoing nightmare plus the subsequent crisis the family went thru forced him to stay grounded. He had a lot of respect for American soldiers as his father fought alongside them during World War I and would tell tales from the war in Europe towards the end. That tradition of respect continues to this day.Sir, perchance were you a Soldier in the Sikh Regiment?
Looking good Sensei!!
