Not surprising, get 27 on the highway trips in my SRT.

I am sure anyone buying doesnt buy for economy but 19sh is a low better than 10, especially when Joe gets done screwing the energy sector.

Who buys a hemi for the gas mileage.
I didn't think gas mileage entered into the buying equation.
I saw a TRX at my dealer the other day and all I wanted to know was the price
It was 94k, the wife who was with me said no.
$94K TRX is a lot cheaper than a wife.....

and will keep putting out whenever you want, for years and years.... :jk:

Precisely! I’m looking to get a 392 next model year (hopefully in Punk’n like my 18 Sport S) and I’m about 60 miles from Rausch Creek and AOAA wondering if was gonna burn a full tank there and back on the trails if I only get 13mpg with 37’s on it. So this is nice to see
how will my jl do with stock suspension sport model on 33s at Rausch

This is not surprising, HEMI usually doing well on highway, it is at their sweet spot of power band.
Yeah my Wife's Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 4wd Crew Cab ETorque is getting 22-23 on the highway

He also has 40-42 psi in the tires (you can see it quickly in the beginning of the video when he's resetting the mileage).

Well my photo is mine on 2.5 JKS with sway bars disconnected on 33's. I ran quite a few blues and greens on this setup at Rausch with no issues really. Just be mindful of rain the days before. Some areas can really wash out

Had a 15 SRT 392 Challenger that got 28 mpg both ways fully loaded down at 70 mph. 4 cyl mode works and gets better than the EPA rating.

I have to be honest, I seriously thought the 392 would average about 14mpg. I get about 12 combined in my truck with the 6.4 and the 392 in the jeep is tuned for even more output. However the truck is 8500lbs and the jeep is ?, maybe 6500 with all the upgraded parts for the V8? After watching the videos and hearing it I def want one. The 2.73 selec-trac clutch type transfer case (48:1 vs 84:1 with the 4.10's and 4:1 rock trac) kinda turns me off though. Not that the hp/tq wouldn't compensate....

Honestly, I'm impressed.
I've argued before that the poor mileage was an issue since it greatly shortens range when overlanding. I guess that argument is out the window.
Not at all. I drive in the mountains often and depending on where you start and end, I can get 30-35 MPG pretty easily. This single test does not show the V8 gets better mileage than the V6.

i thought the same thing initially and will be interested to see what gearing is needed with 37s. But, with so much torque available just off idle, I don’t see how the higher gearing on the stock rig will be an issue. Not to mention, if the 392 had the 4:1 and 4.10s, my guess is the stock axles would not last very long with that much multiplication of torque.
