Most of those TX edition trucks are just mid level trim trucks with a few options packaged in like a chrome and wheel “upgrade” pkg. Then they add the emblems. Ford started this in the 80s, now all the companies sell one. Only the Tundra is made in Texas. A truly strange name for a truck built in San Antonio. The closest actual tundra to here is above the timerline on Colorado 14ers.

Interesting. Especially considering that there’s no trails at all in Texas at all outside of privately owned off-road parks.
Frustratingly so... North Texas (McKinney) and it is either parks or head up to Ok, Ark etc.

Even worse in SETX. Nearest decent wheeling is over 3 hours away and only privately owned places that you have to pay for.

Exactly, a 4 hour drive to Hot Springs, somewhere in Oklahoma or for me, a 10 hour drive to Colorado which is always worth it. Bridgeport and Barnwell are only but so much fun after a couple times there.

Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Lots of off-road areas and trails.

The lack of public land is a big reason I don't want to move back to TX. Its so nice to have access to thousands of miles of free trails.
Indeed, while MN isn't anywhere near as great as western states, it's a reason to stay here instead of moving back to TX (again).

Doesn’t matter. Simply the mention of “Texas” gives many Lone Star Fever.
