My stock 2018 Sport 2 door,, hard top, Bridgestone A/T tires, gets mid to high 20s. The sweet spot is 55 mph, rural driving. That's 6- 10 mpg better than my 2015 JK Sport, manual transmission..
It's just plain fun to drive, that's "priceless". Just over 10,000 miles now

I'm getting about 20-24 mpg in my 2020 JLU with one touch top mixed driving in South Florida (so pretty congested). Actually long periods on the highway hurt the mileage as at 75 mph it is returning just over 20 mpg.

Question for the group: I have a Shara 2.0. When stock I was getting really good mileage on the highway. Probably about 10.5 l per hundred Kms/20ish mpg. I've since lifted it 2 inchesand put on 33.6 inch tires. I have not had the computer adjusted for the changes. My millage has tanked hard!!! Gone to 15 l per hundred Kms. A 50 percent increase for 2 inches bigger tires?? I can see that the jeep never seems to reach 8th gear anymore. Whether it doesnt have the balls, or the computer is confused I don't know. Being new to bigger tires, is this normal? And is updating the computer super important for the transmission to do its job properly?
Thanks

You absolutely need to update the computer for tire size. Your speedometer and odometer are both of because the computer thinks every revolution travels >10% less distance than it actually does. Shift points will also be off. There are many products on the market to recalibrate for tire size. The tazer has many additional features on top of tire size correction.

I have a 2018 JLUR, 2.0 with stock suspension and tires, steel bumpers, and winch(just added less than 100 miles ago)

After 1300 miles, ~600 highway the rest city, I’m averaging 13.4 MPG! (calculated by the Jeep) One of the main reasons I chose the 2.0 was for the fuel economy but this seems like a 3.6L average. No, I didn’t expect the stickered 22-24 but I did expect it to be in the high teens and maybe over 20 on the highway.

What are you averaging? Thanks!
I have an extremely light foot on my 2020 2.0 unlimited sport (no hybrid). I have 1,000 miles on the tank, my overall avg is 27mpg including some city (35%) but I get about 31 mpg at 55-60mph cruise control or not. I also use 87 octane.

After 6 months and 3500 miles I'm averaging better than 20mpg. You must remember it's a 5000lb box. I drove a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 2.3 turbo for 9 years, it was much more aerodynamic, near 1000 lighter but the best I could do was about 19mpg average. I'm very happy thus far and love my 2nd jeep just wish I hadn't waited 37 year's to get it.

My milage is getting worse and worse by the day, but I'm attributing it to the extreme cold and possibly my new tires (we increased the tire size by 3").

Currently around 800 miles, I'm getting about 14 mpg in the city (current temp is -39c). Lots of small hills (and a few big ones), compact snow and ice on the road, and the occasional unplowed side street. I have a very light foot, but heavier has been needed to get up the hills in the cold (which also means the engine is revving higher than it would be until it warms up completely).

Ugh. Hopefully it goes back down after this cold snap!

I have also noticed if a headwind(15kt +-)is present that I will loose 8th gear. In these conditions the 2.0t @75mph will average much greater fuel consumption

Something to consider depending on where you live is winter fuel formulas can have as much 10% ethanol or more, which can cause a reduction in mpg.

I take it back. I just filled up. I'm getting 13.6 mpg.

Edit: 91, ethenol free. Conditions as mentioned above. (And driving in winter conditions, so with a suuuuper light foot).

So far I'm very happy with my MPG, I'm hitting around 26-28 now combined and 400-450 miles a tank. Head winds and hills kill it the most it seems or aggressive acceleration as expected. I run a mix of 95, 97 or 98 octane fuel each fill and find I get a chunk more miles out of the higher octane after a time (enough to justify the cost increase on a longer trip). the car is currently stock JL Sahara but with the Rubicon 17" wheels and BF Goodrich MY tyres
