That's the problem.
mehhhh maybe I should sell my ridge grappler and get cooper stt pro, would save me 6-7 lbs per wheel.. Regearing is expensive and opens up a whole different level of warranty issues

I did not regear and running 315s, so closer to a 34 tire. My calculated mileage dropped about 3 to 4 mpg. So still pulling 21 mpg in mixed driving, about 25/75 town/highway mix.

I did reset to the correct tire size and cerified my speed via gps. I had to increase the tire diameter a few times to get the speed correct.

Have you checked that you speedometer is reading correct?

I did notice that any incline at all and it drops out of 8th. Is it not going into high gear?

So I think I figured out why some guys get great gas mileage and others don’t.. I was playing with my tazer mini today I had initially adjusted the Jeep to 34.76 which is the spec height of my 35” tires, I got at best 14 miles per gallon, today as a test I set it to 35” and got 21 miles per gallon easily.. I checked my speed with gps speedometers and using cruise control, both settings come out accurately.. so I contacted tazer and they said that the 34.76 setting was correct, I bet you anything all the guys here reporting 20 plus miles per gallon either by the dealer or whatever programmer they use are set close to the 35” height

Ummm what happened to 20-24 miles a gallon????

In order to push mpgs that low, you have to either tow heavy or drive really aggressively, both of which are ill advised with an engine with less than 200 miles on it I'd suggest taking it easy for at least the first 1,000 miles.

Stock rubicon wheel and tire weighs 79 lbs, 20 extra lbs of wheel and tire should not cut mpgs in half. At 10 mpg I'd almost say something is wrong with your jeep. We literally see 19+ driving aggressively. Have you checked the actual mpg's or are you relying on the dash display? I got 10 mpg in my old wagoneer with a 360 v8, 8" lift, and 42" iroks. There's something off with your rig in my opinion.

I have the 3.5” lift with Toyo 37’s. City driving will kill your mpg’s. I was getting around 14-15 with no freeway driving. I starting driving both highway and city streets and am now at about 17 mpg average. I have a Rubi without regearing and absolutely no throttle hesitation. (Speedo recalibrated)
Use the mpg gauge to see where you are getting your worst mpg.

I have a 2018 JLUR, 2.0 with stock suspension and tires, steel bumpers, and winch(just added less than 100 miles ago)

After 1300 miles, ~600 highway the rest city, I’m averaging 13.4 MPG! (calculated by the Jeep) One of the main reasons I chose the 2.0 was for the fuel economy but this seems like a 3.6L average. No, I didn’t expect the stickered 22-24 but I did expect it to be in the high teens and maybe over 20 on the highway.

What are you averaging? Thanks!

My wife and I are both averaging over 21 MPG, mine has less than 500 miles on it, hers has just over 4000 miles on it. We are both using 87 octane fuel.

For realistic gas mileage results you have to fuel up write mileage then check again when you refuel. I found the onboard results to be much different by about 5 miles per gallon better when done by actual fill up and mileage used prior to fill up.
I use the Fuelly app, it’s awesome. And free...

2019 JLU Sahara 2.0 and I average 22-23 mpg combination city/highway using 91 octane.
I just keep my foot out of the throttle (mostly, turbo kick in is fun), and keep the ESS on

It’s come upto 14 miles per gallon now.. I will refill tomorrow and check it manually

To the guys getting 20+ mpg what air pressure are you running in your tires? I am at 37, my big 35s seem very susceptible to heat to goes down to 35 when cold and upto 39/40 in the heat of the day.
