I'd have to measure, of course. The top is off of it right now. It does fit in my garage, but I have an odd height door.

I'll get a measurement once I put the top back on.
Really interested in doing this same setup. By any chance did you get to measure the height of your Jeep now with the lift? Would like to know if it will clear my garage.

Thanks

My Jeep hasn't been home for months to measure it. You can get a really good idea by adding the lift height plus 1/2 the added tire height.

So... 3.5" + 2" (for 37's) = 5.5" additional height to the Jeep. Measure it at the back of the hardtop. That's where the Jeep is the highest.

I spent about 5 hours today working on the lift so far. I went through and inventoried and inspected all the parts. Everything was there except for a missing front track bar bracket. I called Teraflex and they said there were a few kits out there without the trackbar bracket in them. I didn’t really mind, but they’re shipping me one. Everything else was packaged well and the instructions have been spot on except for a couple spots where the bolt head size was different than called out.

Otherwise, everything has lined up and the system has come together really well.

My advice so far, READ all the instructions in detail first; understand the project in front of you before you take anything apart.

The drop brackets are actually quite nice. I was a little skeptical of them, but they don’t seem like they’re going to get in the way too much if at all. It’d be hard to drag it on a rock running a 37 if you pick a decent line.

The front is done for now. Final torque will come later. Here’s some pics. If you want to see anything specific, just ask. Thank you.

Did you have to change the front driveshaft?

Great overview and interaction / answers to questions, thank you. If you got another driveshaft question I'd no fault a sharper response ;)

I'm waiting for my Teraflex 2.5 to show up as I wanted to keep it low (and yes less driveshaft change) and yet still stuff 37s into the JLUR wheel wells though I may clear them out, will see after some wheeling.

Best of luck.

Thanks for this awesome thread.

Any updates would be appreciated. Especially if u switched to the long armS

Looking to get a 2021 JLU Rubicon with auto (undecided between proven 3.6 vs 3.0 turbo diesel due to Section 168 write off) and put in a 3.5” lift with 37s so doh my research.

Currently driving a 2015 JKU Rubicon stick shift with 3.5” AEV lift and 35” that has been great to date.

Live in Midwest but went to Moab twice and hoping to make Utah an annual trip since I have to be in Colorado for business Anyhows.

Thanks again for this post and all the pics.

I ended up selling this Jeep to a friend of mine, but I will tell you that the ST3 kit never let me down. I ran Colorado, Utah, Big Bear, Rubicon, Rausch Creek, SMORR, Uwharrie, and numerous other trails throughout the country. I put a ton of miles on it and didn't have a single issue.

I have since purchased a 2 door and installed the Teraflex RT3 Long Arm on it.

I installed the ST3 kit on a good friend of mine's Jeep with help from @Ran4 this past Monday.

There's a lot of good kits and systems out there. I'm a Teraflex fanboy and can't speak to the badassness of others, but I wasn't let down with my ST3. This is why I invested in the RT3 this time around.

Glad to hear you liked it so much you installed another Teraflex on your new Jeep.

I have not no issues with my AEV. It has been great on the highway and it worked fine on the trails in Utah and Colorado.

Given I am in no rush, I’m going to continue reading and researching.

I’ll continue
