Introducing the Nomad Split Spoke Off-Road wheel, and our new Olympus Beadlock!

These cast alloy wheels are engineered with a “form follows function” philosophy resulting in a technical look. With its Modular Plug System, TeraFlex Off-Road Wheels are the only wheels compatible with our proprietary Air Deflator Valve that allows you to quickly air down your tires to a preset pressure.

Available in 5x5, 6x139mm, and 8x6.5, in a multitude of finishes and colors.

olympus wheel in a non beadlock version?
At the moment I am not aware of any plans to have the Olympus design in a non bead lock wheel, however I can put in a product request for that and make note of it!

I was amazed that despite an email and phone call to TF that I could not get a simple question answered - what do the Nomad Split Spokes weigh and what is their load capacity. The phone call to TF got a dumb dumb answer of "strong enough for 40s" and "don't know how much they weigh". Sad when I company has absolutely zero knowledge about the products they are putting their name on.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the info you are looking for!

I will be upfront, we do not actually have an official load rating spec on our wheels that I can find. I know, not a fun answer and I apologize for that. However, I can say I've never seen a structural failure on any of our Nomad, Nomad Split, or even Olympus wheels before. They're very sturdy and thick cast so they don't crack or deform when wheeled.

For the weights, the original Nomad wheel weighs 37 pounds. The new design Split Nomads weigh 33 pounds. Lastly, the Olympus wheels come in at 47 pounds.

You don't even know your own product. The max load rating is cast into the back of the wheel. And the 17x8.5 by 5 on 5 wheel weighs 30.15 lbs, as weighed on a certifed shippimg scale at work, without the valves installed.
It hard to believe that Teraflex is so absolutely clueless about their own products.

We do not have the max weight rating listed on our official spec sheets from our supplier. However, you are correct, and the spec is cast into the back of the wheel. I will have our team update the info to the spec sheet guides. Regardless, the spec on the Split Nomads is Max 2650 lbs. The quoted weights I gave are what the wheels weigh loaded, with center cap, valves, and related hardware installed. Without the added parts you will get the weight that you got.

So why is the Max Load that is cast into the wheel 3640 lbs?
And the tire valves and plastic center cap certainly don't weigh 3 lbs. These items combined are less than 1 lb. I would say a more accurate weight for the wheel would be 31 lbs.

Interesting, that spec appears differently from the wheel we have in our office area. It is possible that we have a prototype wheel here since it appears to be differently cast on the backside as well.

Are the valve stems and deflators included with the wheels?

EDIT: I just found the valve stems and deflators sold separately.
