@JLUandCJ-7 after adding the Rubi stocks, things definitely feel different, and I no longer have to step up into the Jeep :(

Interestingly, while sorting out some paperwork yesterday, I came across the results of my alignment, that was done with the 2" spacer lift in place, it seems that I was way off on my own measurement of the caster, I was working off a theory (that I cannot find) that said 5 is stock, and then use an iPhone app to measure off that!

Anyway, these are my results, before and after an alignment, it was pulling one way, I don't recall which.
Before:

After:

I hadn't really looked at the numbers until now, but it appears that even with the longer Mopar LCAs, my caster is still not high enough. I was so pleased that it wasn't pulling, that I just put up with the overall steering. Also, after I did the spacer lift, I drove around for a few days and things were squirrely, so I did the Mopar LCAs and they made a difference.

Now my dilemma is what to do next

I don't really off road in my Jeep, I use it to get to places that I can explore, bike and run, but I like the look that the 2" lift gave me.

Maybe its time to bite the bullet and instead of spending a hundred bucks here and there, and sweating and cursing for hours, perhaps I should just pay someone to do a 2-2.5" lift for me

That was my rationale for going with adjustable LCAs. I went 3/8” over stock and ended up with caster in the 6s. Drives much better

Here’s my 2021 Sahara with the 1.5 Teraflex spacer lift. It’s actually 2 inches in front and 1.5 in back. I also added 275/60/18 KO2s on the stock rims, which I liked and wanted to keep. To give it a bit more of an aggressive stance, I added 1 inch wheel spacers as well.

I have virtually the same setup expect I went 275/70/18 and 1.75” Spidertrax wheel spacers

I’m going to Moab in June and hoping it’s enough to run Fins n things no problem from a clearance perspective.

Anyone install this kit while still running stock wheels without wheel spacers? Any clearance issues?

I installed this on my Sahara then added the stock Rubicon tires/wheels. No spacers needed, no clearance issues.

thanks, I went ahead and installed back in March and haven’t had any clearance issues . . . but I don’t go crawling either. I’m guessing Teraflex’s aftermarket 4.75 BS, wheel spacers, and max 33” tire requirement is more applicable for full on flexing, than putting along on old logging trails.

My Sahara has the Teraflex 1.5 Spacer kit. With BFG 33's Wanted the 2.0" front to remove the factory rake which it did. No wheel spacers. No issues with moderate off-road.

For those who used the teraflex 1.5 with rubicon springs/shocks, did you wind up using shock extensions?

Clarification please: Are you referring to those using take-off shock/springs on non-Rubicons - or - those adding the 1.5 spacer lift to a stock suspension Rubi?

I was referring to people with take-off shocks/springs

Here is my set up on my Sahara. Before I had 58/59 and 89/90 springs. I upgraded to 61/62 and 91/92 springs with an 1" front spacer and 1/2 spacer in the rear (both from Teraflex) in addition to the longer Mopar LCAs. I also have the full Mopar Steel bumper group with skid plate in a 2.0T engine. No toll package. No alignment needed at I have already checked my toe in during the steering box tsb... but did need to center the steering wheel on my own.

Here are the before and after pics.

Looks great! Exactly what I did, but I had 1/2 inch spacer in the front and no spacer in the back.

Looking at my and your photos, I can see mine has settled some over time. I should do another measure and see where I ended up. I have added steal bumpers and side armor now, and it has the 3.6. I'm really curious how ours compare. I probably have an additional 300 lbs all around, plus engine weight.

Did you measure to the fender lip, or the bottom of the fender (the bottom of the part that is kind of inset)?

I did the bottom of the lip to the ground center on the wheel center cap. Even with my spacers, I'm still at a 1/4" rake to the front so I'm going to need to think of something when my winch plates and winch goes on next year... maybe take out my rear spacer to compensate. I will have about a total of 150 lbs in extra weight when all set and done.

Hey realize this was a while ago, but am considering doing exactly what you did. I have a JLU Willys and bought 61/62, 91/92 take off springs and Mopar extended LCAs (though I'm starting from 57/58, 87/88).

I do want to finish it off with leveling spacers; the part I'm debating is putting is a 1" spacer on the front and .5" on the back, or just a .5" on front and nothing on the back. Since I have to go through all this work anyway, I'd like to do the extra .5" all-around "for free" (as far as my own labor is concerned anyway). Just wondering if the extra .5" is gonna negatively affect handling, so was hoping to collect some experiences. How did it turn out for you?
